For us, it’s a place where we find peace. A place for us where we can look for answers to the questions given of our professors. And a place where the books or dictionaries can give us meaning to some words we can’t understand. For us, Library is just a place.

But what if, there is someone who feel sense of belongingness in this building. Which she consider this place as her home.

“She’s the most greatest thing that I ever hold”

On her early 2o’s she got pregnant and she was devastated “Hindi pa ako graduate nun, pano ko sasabihin sa nanay ko yun kaya I chose na itago. For how many months inipit ko sya, hanggang wala na akong choice kundi ipaalam. They got disappointed pero tinanggap parin nila kami ng anak ko at ng boyfriend ko.”

Their life started to have its color when they had her. She worked so hard to provide all the needs of her daughter. She was her priority. All through the ups and downs of her relationship to her husband she always get through with it because of her daughter.

The biggest tragedy has took place on her life. The source of her strength. Her life. Her everything was being taken away from her. Permanently out of their lives.

No one could tell how it hurts for a mother to lost her child. For how many months she’s trying to cope up from the pain she has on her heart. The longings. The agony. Her friends, her family always make sure that she doesn’t left alone.  You can see her smile. But the sparks from her eyes are no longer there.11696399_10206162502078120_9036243520671952096_o.jpg

After a months of coping up from her loss, she started to do the routine she always do. She tried to live her life just like before.

Focusing on the duties she must face. Making herself busy. Having a great time with her friends knowing somehow it will help her to mend her broken heart. Aside from the people who help her she also give thanks to the Lord. “Maraming salamat sa Diyos. Kasi kahit minsan nagkukulang ako sknya hindi nya padin ako nakakalimutan. Kahit hirap na hirap nko he always help me para bumangon.”

In times of tough times, instead of locking herself from the outside world, she chose to face the life with so much strength and courage. Despite of the pain she had ever since, she still chose to stay positive. Despite of the tears she release, she still chose to smile. From all the problems she encountered and will encounter she will bravely face it and will never back down from it. Is it a rough road or a smooth sailing life? Of course, she chose the first one.

She’s a good friend of mine. She’s just not my friend but she’s also my second mom. In times of my troubles she always got my back. For everything she’s done for me. I chose her as my subject, because her life serves as one of my inspiration in life. It may look simple and not unique, but when you will have a chance to know her more, you will see how her stories made me move. You will see how strong person she is. I love her as I love my family and friends.

For I know the plans I have for you,” declares the Lord, “plans to prosper you and not to harm you, plans to give you hope and a future. -Jeremiah 29:11
